The 2000 settlement agreement requires the appointment of a an Implementation Coordinator responsible for working with the PLIA and MDNR to carry out its provisions. One of these provisions is for an annual PLIA/MDNR meeting at which the Implementation Coordinator presents a formal report on the previous year's activities. We've had these meetings since 2001, and they have been a great success. Hosted by the MDNR at the Platte River Hatchery, usually in the Spring, by invitation these meetings also have been attended by various of our partners, including the MDEQ, the National Park Service, the Benzie Conservation District, and the Crystal Lake Association.
Each year the Annual Report also is presented to the Membership at the Association's Annual General Membership Meeting. Paper copies of a summary version of the Report also are made available at that time.
