The PLIA has been engaged in lake and watershed data collection and assessment for many years, and this effort continues today. With the cooperation of the MDNR, water sampling has been expanded to include locations in and around the Platte River State Fish Hatchery and other key locations in the watershed. The data is being used to help optimize hatchery operation and to create a validated mathematical model of the lake and river. This model will help us understand how the state of the lake is affected by environmental changes and by events that occur anywhere in the watershed. A great deal of data has been gathered. To facilitate data management and analysis we've incorporated the data into a computer database. Several sample outputs from the database are shown below. These samples will be updated periodically.
